Gorumara National Park: Gorumara Naitonal Park in Himalayan reign was declared as wild life sanctuary in 1949 and later in 1992 it was crowned as a National Park. Gorumara National Park is located in the Jalpaiguri district. Gorumara National Park is famous for One-Horned Rhinoceros. There is a Watch tower inside the national Park, from where panoramic view of the entire park is visible and visitors or tourist can have a spectacular observation of wild animals like rhino, deers, bisons, elephants, gour, etc. Wild animals regularly come to the salt reservoir below the tower to eat salt. The largest growing tourism township in the Dooars adjacent to Gorumara National Park is Lataguri which has many hotels and resorts. Gorumara National Park is mostly visited by Nature Lovers and bird watchers who want to explore and feel jungle by heart. And this only can be done by a Jeep Safari in this National Park. While in Jeep Safari, wild animals often can be seen roaming and grazing nearby. Visitors are often get overwhelmed by wild animal like Tuskers, Cheetah, leopard, bisons, peacock, wild pig, spotted dear, Python etc. crossing the road that leads to Gorumara Jungle Safari.

Jhalong: Jhalong is a small village situated on the banks of river Jaldhaka, near India-Bhutan border in the Kalimpong district in West Bengal, India. It is just 99 kilometers from Siliguri, towards Bindu. A Hydro Electricity Project is constructed on the Jaldhaka River and it acts as a bridge for crossing over to Bhutan. It is the first hydroelectric project in India and the population developed based on this project. It is a major attraction in this area. Bird lovers can enjoy a varied collection of hill birds includes Kingfisher, Brown Dipper, Redstart, Laughing Thrush as well as migratory waterfowl here. Jhalong is very populous among adventure enthusiasts and those who are interested in nature vacations. Jhalong is situated on the foothills of the Himalayas and there are numerous activities that you can engage in. Near by Dam at Bindu attracts various hill birds as well as migratory birds. Trekking is a popular activity in the region and the main routes lead to Tangta and Todey.

Bindu: Bindu Dam built on the Jaldhaka River to operate water supply of Jaldhaka Hydel Project. However, one can cross the dam only by foot. From there you can take a rare view of the snow Peak Mountains in winters. Bindu also famous for various hill birds as wel as some migratory waterfowl. It is situated just 8 kilometer from Jhalong.

Jaldhaka Hydel Project : The first hydroelectric project of India can be visited with the prior permission of the WBSEB authorities. Cardamom Curing Centre - On the way to Godak village, about 14 km from Bindu Government has set up a Cardamom Curing Centre. Cardamom is dyed and processed here before delivery. Godak is about 15 km from Bindu famous for a tribal Goddess.

Jaldapara National Park: Jaldapara National Park is a national park situated at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas in Alipurduar Sub-Division of Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal and on the bank of river Torsa. Jaldapara is situated at an altitude of 61 m. and is spread across 216.51 km2 (83.59 sq mi) of vast grassland with patches of riverine forests. It was declared a sanctuary in 1941 for protection of the great variety flora and fauna. Today, it has the largest population of Indian one horned rhinoceros in the state, an animal threatened with extinction, and is a Habitat management area (Category IV). The nearby Chilapata Forests is a elephant corridor between Jaldapara and the Buxa Tiger.

Khairbari Nature Park: South Khairbari nature park About 11 km. from Jaldapara, this Tourist Centre is actually a Leopard Rehabilition Centre and Nature Park. River Boori Torsa is flowing through the forest. It is interesting to travel in the leopards` empire on battery-driven cars. Recently, the Royal Bengal Tigers released from the Circus Parties have been rehabilitated here. Going from Madarihat towards Birpara, a road in the left side goes to Khairbari. This is a good way. Sometimes herd of elephants appear. There is a Watch Tower on the river bank wherefrom you may see the leopards going this way and that, green waves on the sides of the river, scene of boating. There is a wooden bridge over the river. Crossing over the bridge there is the Nature Park. There are many arrangement for children`s enjoyment in the Park. It is a picnic spot also.

Chilapata Nal Rajar Garh : The chief attraction at Chilapata is the "Nalraja Garh". There exist the ruins of an old fort in the dense forests at Chilapata on the east bank of the Torsa river a few miles south of the Indo-Bhutan border. It is popularly called "Nal Rajar Garh". The Britishers called it "the Mendabari ruins". After excavations at this place undertaken by the archaeological department have shown that these brick constructions belonged to the "Gupta Age". It was identified to be one of the frontier fortifications of the region then known as " Pundrabardhan Bhukti".

Buxa Fort & Jayanti: Buxa Fort is located at an altitude of 867 metres (2,844 ft) in the Buxa Tiger Reserve, Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal. It is located 30 kilometres (19 mi) from Alipurduar, the nearest town. According to Sailen Debnath, Buxa is one of the earliest forts in Eastern India. He suggests that the fort might have been first built either by the Tibetan Occupation Forces in the middle or in the second half of the seventh century or by Sangaldwip, the first ruler of Kamatapur. In subsequent times, the Koch kings had taken possession of the fort before it was seized by the Bhutanese in the second half of the eighteenth century. The Bhutan King used the fort to protect the portion of famous Silk Route connecting Tibet with India, via Bhutan. Still later during unrest in Occupation of Tibet, hundreds of refugees arrived at the place and used the then abandoned fort as refuge.  Jayanti is a small forest village within Buxa Tiger Reserve in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, India. It is located along the Jayanti River, forming a natural border with the Bhutan hills. It is popular with hikers for its beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and wild fountains. The 13 km trek from Buxaduar to Jayanti is especially popular, passing through the dense forest of the Buxa Tiger Reserve. Jayanti also features a stalactite cave known as the Mahakal cave.

Cooch Behar Rajbari: Cooch Behar Rajbari is the district headquarters and the largest city of Cooch Behar District in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is situated in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas and located at 26°22′N 89°29′E. Cooch Behar is the only planned town in North Bengal region with remnants of royal heritage. One of the main tourist destinations in West Bengal, the town is well known for the Cooch Behar Palace and Madan Mohan Bari temple and has been declared a heritage town. It is also well known for being the maternal home of Maharani Gayatri Devi. During the British Raj, the town of Cooch Behar was the seat of the princely state of Koch Bihar, ruled by the Koch dynasty. After 20 August 1949, Cooch Behar District was transformed from a princely state to its present status, with the town of Cooch Behar as its headquarters.

The Buxa Tiger Reserve: It was established in the year of 1982-83 to save the most important species of North Bengal The Royal Bengal Tiger. The park is located at the north eastern corner of Dooars plains of North Bengal bordering Bhutan and Assam. The core area of 315sq.kms around the Buxa Duar Fort was declared a National Park in January 1992.

Gorubathan: Gorubathan is a small town in the Kalimpong District of North Bengal. The place is also known among locals as Sombare. The name has it origin in weekly village market (`hut`) organized at Gorubathan every Monday. The place is about 73 km from Kalimpong town (via Lava). To reach Gorubathan one has to travel through the NH31 till Damdim. From Damdim a road to the north goes to Lava through Gorubathan. The small town is situated on the east bank of river Chel. The landscape of the area is unique as the hills meet the plains here. Chel riverbed is a good location for picnickers and nature lovers. The drive from Damdim to Gorubathan first passes through some of the most beautiful tea gardens of Dooars including Ranichera, Rangamati and Sylee. Just before Gorubathan the Fagu Khola, Runjung Khola and Chel Khola meet to form River Chel. On the other side of the river is the picturesque Pathorjhora tea garden. Just above the village is Dalim fort. The ruins of a fort build by the Bhutanese kings can still be seen here. The place located on top of the hill also offers breathtaking view of the surrounding. One has to trek the last stretch to reach the ruins of the fort. The Jhandi Dara area is also a popular tourist destination near Gorubathan. The area has come into tourism prominence during the last few years. The place offers great view of the snow capped Himalayan mountain range as well as views of Dooars plains. The road from Gorubathan towards Lava is also beautiful. The first few kilometers you will be travelling through tea gardens with Chel river on your left. The road continues through Faforkheti, This is a small village and a picnic spot for the locals. The picturesque village has the potential to become a tourist attraction. Further ahead on the road is Lava, a day trip to the famous tourist destination can easily be organised from Gorubathan. Sakham forest from Gorubathan. The Sakham forest is just 8 kms from Gorubathan village and the drive is through picturesque tea garden and forests. At Sakham you will be passing crossing 2 small rivers, the first river is named Mal and the second one is Neora. Both rivers meet a few kilometres downstream. There is a Hydro electric project at Sakham over Neora river. The area is very peaceful and attractive and is very popular among picknickers. You can cross the rivers and drive on to reach Samsing through tea gardens just a few kilometres away.
